The “User not found” error may be found across the application and API. When “User not found” is returned from the API that status code will be 404.

User not found can have multiple meanings:

• The User does not exist.
• The User does exist but has not activated their account.
• The user does exist, but you do not have access to their account

Please note, for security reasons, we may report that a user does NOT exist, regardless if they do, or do not in order to prevent email guessing.
